
- You must be a licensed stylist in your respective state.
- Your license must be current in the state in which you are competing.
- You are required to purchase and use Salon Exclusive products during the competition from beginning to end with the exception of permanent colors, developers, commercial hair, hair accessories etc. All chemicals and products must be Salon Exclusive Professional products. Kits may be purchased.
- Three (3) models will be done. One (1) on stage from start to finish with other platform artists and two (2) done behind the stage, presenting all three (3) in a final presentation. Contestants will have 30 minutes to complete a model from start to finish and up to 10 minutes to present all 3 models during the presentation phase.
- Your styles and presentation should be a reflection of your best work. If you are conservative, deliver a conservative presentation. If you are more trendy and whimsical, be trendy. We are looking for your best!
- Stylists are required to wear black or a black/white combination. Technical team members should wear all black or black and white as signature stage colors.
- The entry fee must be paid in advance for contestant to be eligible for this promotion.
- All work must be done by contestants except assistants who are provided by Salon Exclusive for shampooing only.
- A professional makeup artist may be used.
- State winners must compete for the national contest in October in North Carolina
- National team members must be willing to operate under an exclusive contract for one year.
- National team members must be willing to travel throughout the United States and internationally for seminars, trade shows, photo shoots, technical events and more.
- Salon Exclusive reserves the right to disqualify and dismiss any contestant or team member that doesn't abide by the rules and regulations.
Prize package for overall winner is one-year contract with Salon Exclusive to travel educating on and promoting Salon Exclusive.
